New VinFast Electric SUV to Debut at GJAW 2025

Suasana pameran otomotif Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week 2025 yang ramai dikunjungi pengunjung di Jakarta.

OTODRIVER — VinFast Indonesia will showcase a new electric sport utility vehicle (SUV) at the GAIKINDO Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) 2025 automotive exhibition this coming November. The model’s debut underscores VinFast’s commitment to expanding its electric vehicle lineup in Indonesia.

The GAIKINDO Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) 2025, organized by the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (GAIKINDO), serves as a platform for automotive brands to introduce new products and innovations. Carrying the theme “The Biggest and Most Comprehensive Automotive Exhibition at Year-End,” the event will take place from November 21–30, 2025, at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE), Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) City, Tangerang, Banten.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of VinFast Indonesia, Kariyanto Hardjosoemarto, stated that the new model to be displayed will still be a concept car and not yet for sale. There are still several models from the Vietnamese market that have not been brought to Indonesia, so this vehicle will appear as an exhibition car first. Kariyanto made this statement during the VinFast Vote and Design Competition on Thursday, October 3, 2025. The competition aims to engage young Indonesian designers in contributing to the development of VinFast’s future vehicle designs.

Although the SUV model has not been officially revealed, it is speculated to be one of two electric prototypes — the Nerio Green or Herio Green — both offering a driving range of around 300 kilometers (km). The VF3 model remains VinFast’s main sales driver in Indonesia and is among the best-selling electric vehicles in Southeast Asia.

In addition to preparing a new model, VinFast is also expanding its electric charging network across various regions. Demand has come not only from Java but also from consumers in Sulawesi and Sumatra. “Quite a few people have contacted us from areas where VinFast dealerships are not yet available,” Kariyanto added.
