HARIAN FAJAR — Kalla Toyota played a major role in the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) Makassar 2025 automotive exhibition. This year, Toyota presented the largest booth with a modern, interactive, and eco-friendly concept that reflects the spirit of “Toyota for Indonesia.”

Kalla Toyota West Region General Manager, Andika Susanto, said that this year’s participation marks an important moment after a six-year absence from GIIAS Makassar. He mentioned that the fourth quarter of 2025 is the best time because the automotive industry is entering its peak season.

“Our target at GIIAS Makassar 2025 is to sell 400 units within six days. This is a very realistic target, and we are optimistic it can be achieved, considering the trend of increased vehicle purchases at the end of the year,” he said.

Kalla Toyota currently offers a very complete product lineup — from cars for young people to executive vehicles. With a range of models such as the Calya, Rush, Raize, and Innova Zenix, Kalla Toyota is confident it can reach all market segments. “We are optimistic that Calya will be the main contributor to sales, followed by the Rush and other models. If our average monthly sales reach 1,500 units, achieving 400 units at this event is very possible,” he said.

In addition to presenting the largest booth, Kalla Toyota also brought various top sales programs and after-sales services during GIIAS Makassar 2025. Their booth not only showcased products but also featured environmentally friendly technologies that align with Toyota’s sustainable mobility vision.

Kalla Toyota Marketing General Manager, Suliadin, explained that the company offered special promotions exclusively during the exhibition. With a combination of a grand booth, diverse products, and attractive promotions, Kalla Toyota successfully created high enthusiasm among visitors of GIIAS Makassar 2025.

“Many visitors took advantage of the exhibition to make direct purchases. We are optimistic that GIIAS Makassar will be the turning point for sales recovery at the end of the year,” he said.

Kalla Toyota offered attractive promotions exclusively during the exhibition. One of the most popular was the zero percent interest program and various instant gifts for customers. “This is our form of appreciation to loyal Kalla Toyota customers,” he said.

The promotion also applied to various types of vehicles, from family cars and city cars to hybrid sport utility vehicles (SUVs). Toyota also introduced several new variants that feature fuel efficiency and environmentally friendly concepts. Kalla Toyota also provided financing consultations, trade-in programs, and after-sales services such as quick service and periodic maintenance. All of these were accessible directly at the exhibition area with assistance from a professional team.

The presence of Toyota’s booth at this year’s GIIAS was also a tangible form of Kalla Toyota’s contribution to the automotive ecosystem in Eastern Indonesia. “Toyota remains the number one choice for Indonesian families, with a market share reaching 39.7 percent as of September 2025,” he said.

Kalla Toyota recorded sales of 14,500 vehicles as of September 2025 (year to date, YTD). This achievement strengthened Toyota’s position as the automotive market leader in Eastern Indonesia. Kalla Toyota also prioritizes a comprehensive mobility solution — from conventional to hybrid vehicles, after-sales services, and digital innovations such as online service booking and virtual consultations. “All of these are integrated into one ecosystem,” he said.

Kalla Toyota’s presence at GIIAS Makassar 2025 also represents support for the development of the local automotive industry and efforts toward the transition to environmentally friendly vehicles. The booth theme also highlighted the company’s commitment to sustainability and innovation. (*)
