Bekasi Viewed as a Strategic Location for New Automotive Dealer Expansion

VIVA — Bekasi, West Java, has emerged as a strategic area for the expansion of the automotive industry around Jakarta. The growing number of vehicle users and the demand for fast after-sales service have driven manufacturers to expand their dealer networks in the region.

One of the brands strengthening its presence is Chery. The Chinese automaker has opened a new dealership on Jalan Siliwangi Raya Narogong, Sepanjang Jaya, Rawalumbu, Bekasi. This expansion is part of the company’s strategy to broaden its sales and after-sales network in Indonesia.

Vice Country Director of PT Chery Sales Indonesia, Budi Darmawan Jantanian, stated that Bekasi has strong economic potential and serves as a key supporting area for Jakarta. The region’s contribution is important for Chery’s growth in Indonesia.

Budi explained that the increasing number of Chery car users has made the need for service and maintenance facilities more urgent. He added that Chery is committed to providing customers with the highest-quality service.

Director of Chery Trimegah Siliwangi, Linda, views this collaboration as an adaptive step in response to developments in automotive technology. She noted that Chery has a competitive advantage by offering a complete product lineup, ranging from gasoline engines and hybrids (combining gasoline and electric power) to full electric vehicles.
